Frequently Asked Questions
What are the payment options?
How does this process work?
1. Once we receive the ashes, a picture of your order and the ashes will be taken and sent to you. This is to confirm that they are indeed your ashes and that they were received in the condition in which they were received. At this point, you should be given a timeframe as to when your order will be completed. Most of our orders are made within 5-7 business days, depending on the workload.Ā
2. When your order is ready to begin, you will receive another text message or email confirming this. At this point, you will start to receive regular messages until your item is completed.Ā
3. The next message will be a picture of the ring core if you have chosen a ring. It will contain a picture of the ring core against a sizing chart. This picture will ensure 100% certainty that we are providing you with the correct ring size.
4. Cremation Creations will begin to inlay the ashes into the ring core. After that process is complete, you will receive an additional message with a picture showing the ashes inside the ring. This provides peace of mind by eliminating any doubt that the ashes are contained within the ring.Ā
5. At this point, we will work with you to select an opal color or create a mix of colors that makes you cherish the ring even more. If you cannot communicate with us about the colors you wish to have, please include the color ratio in the notes at checkout when purchasing the item. The recommendation is a 70/30 ratio; you want the primary color chosen to be enhanced.Ā
6. At this point, your ring will be completed, and you will receive a picture of the finished product. It adds a beautiful tribute to the loved one.
Will you create jewelry with human ashes?
Yes! It would be an honor to. We work with both pet and human ashes.
How long does it take to receive the completed keepsake jewelry?
After receipt of payment, please mail your cremation ashes to me via USPS Priority shipping. This link will take you to the page on how to ship ashes. The process takes approximately 5-7 business days from the time we receive the ashes. Due to the contents, additional insurance is included with the package. We only charge what we are charged for shipping.
Can I mix opal colors?
Yes! Absolutely, we offer the widest variety of crushed opal colors in the USA, with 92 options.
How do I get the ashes to you?

This page contains instructions for shipping.Ā
To ship cremated remains, please follow these steps:
1. Place a small amount (approximately 1/2 teaspoon) of the remaining mixture in a Ziplock bag.Ā
2. Then, place that bag inside another Ziplock bag, creating a triple-layer seal.
3. Ensure all air is removed from the bags before shipping.Ā This process helps prevent the bag from bursting due to pressure changes during transit, especially when traveling by plane or through mountainous areas.
According to the United States Postal Service, cremated remains must be sent via EXPRESS mail. While many clients opt for standard priority shipping with a tracking number, it is essential to adhere to USPS guidelines.
Please note that the cost of shipping cremated remains to Cremation Creations is the sender's responsibility, and prices may vary by origin. It would be unfair for someone shipping a few hundred miles to pay the same shipping rate as someone sending from another country.
Additionally, all shipping fees at checkout will cover the return of the completed jewelry to you via the United States Postal Service (USPS). This cost will be slightly higher as the package will be insured.
How durable is titanium?
Titanium is a lightweight natural element, weighing nearly half as much as stainless-steel surgical instruments and as light as aluminum. It boasts exceptional corrosion resistance and can withstand extreme temperatures. As the most hypoallergenic metal known, titanium is ideal for jewelry and is increasingly used in surgical implants, such as hip and shoulder prosthetics, as well as instruments like forceps and microblades.
What is your warranty policy?
At Cremation Creations, we create beautiful and high-quality cremation jewelry at affordable prices. This warranty outlines our guarantee for your purchase. While we use durable materials, they are not indestructible. Excessive force, harsh conditions, and chemicals can cause scratches or damage.
Jewelry varies in durability; some can last for years, while others may need regular repairs. Most manufacturing defects appear within the first month of use.
**30-Day āNo Hassleā Limited Warranty:** A 30-day warranty covers your purchase against manufacturing defects. If your jewelry has a defect (such as chipping or breaking), we will repair it free of charge if you send us a clear photo within 30 days. If a replacement is not available, we may offer similar jewelry of equal value. If your piece contains cremation remains, you may need to return it along with any additional ashes.
**Repair Options:** For damaged natural materials, contact us immediately. We will assess your piece and provide repair options (fees may apply). If deemed beyond repair, we will replace it at 50% of the current retail price plus shipping.Ā
What is your return policy?
Due to the personalized nature of our products, custom-made items cannot be returned or exchanged. In some states, the return of certain types of jewelry is deemed illegal.
Please note that there are natural variations in the materials I use to create each item. Opals (both in color and "play of color"), natural stones like turquoise, shell products (such as mother-of-pearl), wood grain, and ashes or cremains themselves are all unique. The combination of these different substances makes each keepsake one-of-a-kind.
Other items on my website that are not personalized may be returned for a refund, provided they are not tampered with or damaged after you receive them and have not previously contained ashes.
